TENNIS ARENA HØRSHOLM

Hørsholm Rungsted Tennis Arena,
Hørsholm

Hørsholm is a municipality north of Copenhagen offering a wide range of leisure activities to the residents and visitors.

Hørsholm Lawn Tennis Club was established in the year 1900 and is one of the largest and best known Danish tennis clubs. In the mid-eighties, the club could erect one of the largest indoor tennis arenas in Denmark with the aid of a major Danish insurance company.

The Arena is built as a large box 100 meter long, 40 meter wide and 12 meter high. Normally this kind of building would demand extremely large and heavy concrete spans but by using steel construction and space frame structures the entire construction offers a visual and architectural lightness in appearance.

Levi Jensen was responsible for the steel structures and the space frame structures.
