CARRYING COAL CRANES TO STIGSNÆS

Coal Treatment Plant
Stigsnæs

Refurbishing an old coal power plant at Stigsnæs Harbor near Skælskør included the construction of a completely new coal treatment plant as well as replacing two old cranes with two very large cranes that were assembled in Gdansk in Poland and transported by sea.

As part of the new plant was constructed a 300 meter long grid bridge, a transportation tunnel dug into the flying ash powder, new tracks for the cranes and a transportation equipment tower.

Levi Jensen has been performing construction management and supervision on the plant as well as specialist knowledge on the logistics involved in sea and land operations in transporting the coal cranes.
